Ts-5010 Cb Radio Swr Questions?

Cb radio swr questions? - ts-5010

I recently completed a Emperor TS 5010 the Antron 99 and himself a SWR reading somewhere at 1.6 and 1.8, I have 50 feet of RG-8X coax 1000W antenna is about 30 feet high. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and how to improve, thank you.

Looks like you do for me. I do not know how the 99 antennas were Antron, as new, but it seems they should be of 1.1 or less. I can only imagine something with the antenna. Also I can not remember whether it Antron tunable elements that could be reconciled.

What they do is wrong when using a 10-meter amateur radio illegal alien goes to work on the CB band. In parallel, the Antron 99 not very good antenna. Take my advice, the elimination of the TS-5010 and get a real CB with SSB. CB frequencies are in the process. All that we are spending a lot of money to interfere with other services abroad and CB channels. No control of radio frequency channels between the province for economic RC airplanes and vehicles. Someone like you responsible for my plane crash last year. Thank you very much. All for what? It is not even legal to sell the hams to the United States. If you use the FM (unlawful if a person used below 30 MHz) that has almost a width of 25 kHz signal from an AM signal 6 kHz wide.

Well, if Ior choose a real band radio channel 17 to collect use and gives melody. They have a bandwidth better if the steel cables in turn lowers the center of the strip.

If all else fails, practice on the artificial CB only 4W resistor of 50 ohms in a PL-259 connector. Sign up right after the SWR meter and testing. If things go well. Put it into the end of the coaxial cable. If this is not serious is the Antron.

BTW Your Next Base CB installation, RG-8U or use Belden 9913 (which is more weak than the RG-8U). Less than 50 ", which currently loses 1.9dB (35% of capacity) with RG-8x. The 0.9dB loss figure (19%) WIH RG-8U, and 0.5 dB (11%) in RG-9913th 8X a small loss of RG-58U vehicle will not replace a base station coax cable.

provided that the SWR is 3:1 or less, you should not be a problem.

In addition, the measure SWR?

must be measured at the antenna.
